We met up with Devin and Steffi and made the walk down the waterfront to Esther Short Park for a recycled arts fair they were having, as well as the weekly farmer's market. Unfortunately it was so warm that by the time we made it there all we could really manage was collapsing into the first shady patch to enjoy some cold beverages. Skyler was relatively unfazed by the steamy surroundings, and he was more than happy to sample our drinks.
We also had the opportunity to get together with Becca, Josh and their little girl MeeAe. Our get togethers have been few and far between up until now since we could only meet while we were in town. Now that we have returned (for good) we are working to change this.
It was so much fun watching the kiddos interact with eachother! Little Mae is crawling all over now so she and Skyler were on fairly equal footing in the mobility department. The scooted around sharing in eachother's trouble. We also had the kiddie pool out, which Skyler deigned to stand in the middle of while occasionally leaning down to splash. MeeAe on the other hand was a little fish, as soon as she hit the water she was off crawling laps around Skyler.
It's been so much fun enjoying all the sweet, little things that come with kids and sunshine. mister has been so full of playful energy with all the new activities we have been introducing him to. He really is such a sweet little adventurer.
